Description: Hindi Divas was celebrated on 14th September in Loreto Convent School. It was on this day that the constituent assembly of India had adopted Hindi written in Devnagari Script as official language of the republic of India. Hindi Divas was celebrated to encourage students to take pride in their mother tongue.
The programme started with the lighting of the panchdeep. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr.N.K Julka who is an octogenarian, a well known writer and a columnist. The students had a ppt presentation, short play,had individual poetry recitation and choral Hindi elocution. The chief guest congratulated the students on their impeccable performance and asked them to enrich their culture with the power of Hindi language.
